Clarke Co, Iowa | NASS needs responses from at least 30 producers in a county or yield reports for at least 25% of the harvested acreage in a county in order to publish data for that county.
I think ARC and PLC both require yield reporting.
So, my question is why are there 12 counties in Iowa that have no published corn yields? That would mean that if a few BTOs farmed 25% of the crop acres they did not report and or less than 30 small operators reported yields.
My guess is given the percentage of crop land that is rented the renters do not want the landlords to know any yield data. | |
