Central Iowa | This is one i watch. Looks out 12 months and assumes you are selling x # of pigs each month.
Uses a set wean pig price of $45/head. Yardage at $21/hd per head and feed may be a tad on the low side. Big question is always the cash basis values and the formula pricing you are on. Blue line is a target of $15/head which we are above at the time. Guys who have pigs in house for this summer will see some $50+/head profit. Industry needs it.....she's been a tough road the past few years.
