pilgrim - 3/13/2024 11:02 There was a Murphy site they tried to sell last year. Couldn’t get bids and owner was trying to get $75,000. Had a newer Slurry Store. Had history of well oroblems

I'd have a hard time taking a Murphy site if you gave me $75,000 to take it.

Everything about those buildings is awful.       Partial slat, scraper system, pump the manure into a Slurry store, crappy ventilation, etc

There isn't enough Advil in the world for that kind of headache.

I was hoping I wasn't the on;y one who felt that way. A couple of college classmates went to work for Murphy when they first showed up in Iowa in the mid-to-late 80's. There wasn't enough Dramamine to keep my head from spinning at the idea of partial slat and a scraper.

"But they're only $110 a pig space!"

A 2x4 upside the head every morning will feel similar after a while for less money.
