if your strip tilling and planting you need the repeatability of rtk, rtx is not rtk so that will hopefully answer that question.
as for ipad data, all you need to do is start the digifarm app on the ipad and then you can let it run in the background having fieldview open for viewing while operating. no reason to run an additional device for one or the other.
