My limited understanding with sureforce is that with the initial release it was a downforce system only. Assuming my understanding is correct, when did they add the ability to put "uppressure" on the row unit, and how do you tell the difference between the two systems?

TIA

SureForce has always had up/down ability.
The previous (legacy/Dawn) system was down only.

You can tell the difference visually by the actuator. SureForce is black looks like a traditional hyd cylinder.
The Dawn system is silver and has an accumulator.

What he said, however the earlier system does have the ability for (i believe) up to 100 pounds of up force, you have to buy the uplift spring kit in order to do this. Not as nice as having it all in the cylinder, but still can be done.
