Pre’s don’t do very well on cocklebur. Usually the seed is too deep in the ground and the seed can lie dormant for 20 years. Just be ready to post spray a time or two. 2-4d or Banvel or similar chemicals work very well.
You will be fighting them for a long time but just don’t let any more go to seed. Their not that hard to kill.
