Coles County, Illinois | When I'm troubleshooting RS232 communications I hook a usb to serial adapter https://www.amazon.com/C2G-Cables-26886-Serial-Adapter/dp/B000067RVJ... to a laptop and run a program called Realterm. This allows me to try all the different speeds and data settings quickly. When I get readable data I can then see what data the device is outputting. I know this may seem frustrating but it's just a learning situation. It's also why I recommend finding a good dealer. I'm pretty much a geek with 25 years of Automation experience and just accept the lack of support from Raven. I've already heard from an Ex Raven support tech that has moved on after CNH's buyout and she didn't paint a good picture. The flipside is that now all the CIH dealers are Raven Dealers so maybe this will eventually work itself out.
P.S. I've never needed a Nulled connection using the adapter to Raven Output connections but again I don't know Capstan Inputs.
