You were making the boundary? Or it was already in the monitor? 

Deere is the only brand I know that allows inner and outer boundary lines to cross without having a heart attack. 

You said the waterway comes to the edge, so map the waterway as part of the outer. Or re-map the waterway as an interior but make dang sure you don't go far enough to cross the outer.
