Correct, fecal samples should give you an idea if you have a parasite. Oral safeguard (bendazole family) has a broader spectrum of parasite control plus kills parasites earlier(juvenile or larval stages) in their development stages. Of coarse the bendazole products don't address your external parasites like a ivomec product does.
