SE NE | We have some soybean stubble going to corn for this year. This is a rough/ rocky farm so we don't strip till this farm like most of our others. This winter we broadcasted dry over the top and then applied our N with liquid 32% with a coulter toolbar this week. Typically we do this farm as no-till but would like to work the dry into the soil and smooth out a few small ditches with our vertical till before plant/ spraying. Is there risk of loosing N by vertical tilling the whole farm? Usually just VT our corn stalks before planting soybeans so don't worry about nitrogen loss when tilling. | |
