Subject: RE: What changed in the cattle market?

Lots of very small independent processors opened due to market forces during 2020-early 2023. The big guys can and will shut these guys down over the next few years. We know the value of the beef leaving pack houses, but who really knows how much the big guys get for byproduct. The small guys are burdened by byproduct, they pay someone to haul it off, while the majors are paid for it.

Yes the pack’s margin has been cut, some, but they’ll end up on top. These small processors are gonna starve off. Quickly I’m thinking.
