It is what we have. Hinges (or lack thereof) are kind of crap but it does a dam good job of warming up a calf. We see a cold calf born, go start the hot box, go get the calf and by then the box is getting warm. Throw it in for an hour or 2, whatever it needs. Will fit two smaller calves or one large one. If you are dealing with 10s of calves needing warmed up might want to build something custom but for a 100 head or less herd it works well. When we had the dairy we would rarely have more than 1 calf a week to deal with so dad made a homemade box out of plywood, two heat lamps, and a heat pad. It worked probably just as good but harder to clean.

The polydome was worth the money and wouldnt be without one.
