I am no freestall expert by any means. But it just looks like you have jersey cows in a big Holstein sized freestall. It might sound dumb but give it some thought. Same result if it were Holstein heifers.

As mentioned before a telephone pole under your loops at the front of the stall might work. As long as it doesn't get buried all the way in the sand


Yes. I am not happy with the loop size. My dealer told me that this is the size he sells to Jersey guys..... Looks way to big to me.

Spaced at 44", I am happy with the spacing. In the old barn I tried 42, 44, 46, and 48. Started with 42" 35 years ago. 46 and 48 were too wide. 44 seems to work, but the loops are so much bigger that the cows will walk through sideways through the loops if you try to hold them in a stall to breed.
