North Dakota
The power generation from Hoover damn occurs in one fixed point not over 10,000,000 acres. The infrastructure was built during the depression with material and labor costs GREATLY less than today. The power is transmitted to a rather small geographic area considering the size of the United States. I believe just southern California(primarily LA)and Nevada(primarily Las Vegas). Maybe a certain area in one more state.

With the cost of labor and materials. The financial position of our country and some states(trillions of dollars in deficits). The increasing need to supply EV transportation and for other reasons to numerous to mention I believe for all intents and purposes it is not feasible.
