Subject: RE: Winter Canola Question For You Guys In Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas Question

Didn’t plant any this year. Several years ago for 2 or 3 years I split a circle between wheat and canola. The canola was supposed to yield with the wheat, better price, opportunity to control winter weeds, yada, yada. Well each time, late freeze, winterkill, whatever, the canola made about 25% of wheat yield. So I quit it. About then the local adm stopped receiving it so no place to go with it. Now if there would be a close place to sell camelina, I might consider trying that in a dryland rotation. Not gonna jump in whole hog though
