Use part of your previous program a few weeks ahead of planting if it''s labeled for that increasing your chance of getting a good rain on it. Can go out with a burn down ahead of planting. Depending on your product of choice you might use a different product at planting or in a post spray. I liked getting Fierce with a low rate of Metribzin out far enough ahead of planting to get a good rain on it if posible. But getting the right weather is the key to getting things to work.

Rarely unfortunately can we go a few weeks ahead. Normally up here the minute a sprayer can get across the fields the planter is close behind.

Even with the dryness last summer I was happy with the weed control. I just felt the prowl damaged the soybeans on the no till. Incorporate was good.
