Subject: RE: Timex Watches

Cleveland, MS. Own small farm near Booneville, MS

Timex is on my arm right now. I don't remember for sure, but it's at least 4 or 5 years old. Bought it at Walmart. IIRC it was less than $40. My previous watch was a Times, as well as the one before that. It is seldom off my wrist except for taking a shower or on the very rare occasion that I go swimming. My very first watch was a Timex. Parents gave it to me when I was in the first grade. I had to remember to wind it every night. I've had other brands (Caravelle, Elgin, a couple of cheap digital) but none seem to hold up any better than a Timex. The Elgin was a self-winding model - no battery. It was a nice watch but didn't hold up well to a teenager on a farm.
