Subject: Whisker switches on planter

South Central MN
I’m unfamiliar with exactly how an implement status whisker switch works. Can I use a single whisker switch to control two different functions?
I’ve got an in furrow system on my planter that has a whisker switch attached to a pump controller in the cab to shut off the electric pump when the planter is raised. Is there a way to tee into that cable and connect it to the Trimble display to log coverage mapping or will I need a separate, dedicated switch for the Trimble?
Thanks in advance.
