I'm not sure of a way to do it in OC but what I do is shift the line and duplicate in on the monitor. Now you have a new line where you want it with no shifts. I usually add PP24 (planter placed and year) to the name so there is less confusion. Then bring that into OC, delete the old one and change the name on the placed one.
