East Central Mo. | Our parents died years ago and my 4 sisters and I inherited their farm. It doesn't matter, but I do farm it. Some of my sisters seem to think we need to keep farm liability insurance on it, even though it's included in my liability insurance policy as a tenant. We don't have livestock there anymore, so I'm not concerned about them getting into someone else's crops. In the past, we've had insurance on the old house and the farm (liability), although no one has lived there for years and the house is going downhill fast. My sisters' concern is someone trespassing, getting hurt and suing us. I have never heard of that happening but I've gone along with them so far just to be agreeable. They are questioning me about dropping the house, but keeping liability insurance on the property. What is everyone's opinion? Thanks in advance for any comments.
