Difference between JD extended monitor and JD 4600 monitor

They appear the same, however after talking to Michael Geihl of AgTouchScreens.com the Gen 4 Command Center has a higher quality display than the Gen 4 Extend Monitor.

That being said, the two of them can be swapped either way. I have customers that take the Gen 4 Command Center display off their combine in the spring and run it as an extend monitor in their planting tractor

It is correct that neither has any brains or computing power to them. The Gen 4 Command center has a server/processor mounted deeper in the machine. The Extend monitor is simply a second monitor that communicates with the Gen 4 Command server or 4640 that has its own internal brains
