Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | The Raven Meter Cal indicates how many pulses were produced when 10 gallons of water were put through the flow meter. Raven does this based on 10 gallons instead of 1 gallon to get better resolution. The very first Raven controllers did not have a decimal point on the keypad so they decided to base their meter cal on 10 gallons. They have continued this tradition.
Ag Leader and others expect the Meter Cal to indicate how may pulses are produced when 1 gallon of water passed through the flow meter so divide the Raven Meter Cal by 10.
The new sensors that Raven is now using produce twice as many pulses as the older style that I am using. So for Sunman's RFM 15 and an Ag Leader, the operator should enter 3539/10 or 353.9. Notice is is about double of the 175 and 180 that I am using with my older RFM 15's.
