How about that standing desk, made of plywood? what's the steel rail across the front? for holding wire tags? pliers? knives?
If it was a root cellar, the windows would have been used for cooling the contents in the fall, then closed and probably covered over with straw and snow for the bitter weather, then dig out the door when the produce was shipped out.
