Yes it does. It also effects the texture of bacon. The bacon flop angle is a test of the rigidity of bacon slabs. Feeding distillers grain and soy meal makes for the a floppy mess of a bacon. This in turn results in more drip loss (rendering). This can have a large effect on flavor and eating experience.
