I remember '72 harvest.
Had a late frost in June that damaged early planted corn.

Yield of early planted was poor and price was around $1 for 56 lbs
I was cash poor and sold as I delivered.

THEN we started harvesting the late planted corn as did everyone else and discovered it was WET and poor quality.
Price went up so I was selling off the combine for near double what my good $1 corn sold for.


Was still a good year as our first child was born that fall.
