| A little bit of wheat/oats/peas going in the ground. Looks like wheat acres will be close to nothing in my area. Some fertilizer being spread. Conditions are probably the best we've had in almost 10 years, finally a spring where we are not going to have a very late start (anything can happen yet). Corn basis at elevators a solid -45 cents hasn't changed in months. Ethanol plants are -25 one plant was looking for April deliveries offered 5 cent push to -20. Lots of corn to get sold around here yet. There is no bullish case to be made in ND, except wheat acres will probably be down hard, with more a lot more acres of corn and beans. | |
