| E-Plant nearby sets the market for my area as they are largest end user. I have bins with both committed and uncommitted bushels. In February I delivered some of the uncommitted on free DP. My logic was, it's either going to sit in the bin unpriced or sit at E-Plant unpriced, but it's going to go their either way so might as well deliver while its nice and I have the time. They burn my whole year's production in less than a day. Genuine question, is there any reason I shouldn't have just hauled all my uncommitted bushels? I do like that I can pull the trigger on pricing at anytime even if it is muddy. Seems most really hate free DP so must be a lot of bad experiences. One thought I had was if they run a hot bid on basis for future delivery you would miss out, but this usually has not been the case in the past. | |
