Need advice on a low profile air suspension seat. Years ago bought a factory equipment air seat from a wrecked C7500 truck that bolted right into my C4500. Works great, and I would like to buy another for a similar C series Chevy/GMC truck. Stopped at the local junk yard today and no luck. The (maybe Bostrom??) seat I have has a much lower deflated height than a regular truck seat, regular seats measure 14" with no air, the C series seat is 10" tall with no air.
Where should I search to locate a low profile air seat?
Most air seat bases can be easily modified to be a low profile. Remove the seat from the base, shorten the base, good to go. We modified two Sears Elite truck seats like that. Only problem is now if a short guy drives them, they complain the seat doesn't air up high enough. |
