Malta, Illinois | Oil has been in a gradual uptrend until very recently. Given what is going on around the world I don't see anything bearish that will cause it to turn the other way any time soon. While it is technically true that we are "Oil Independent" it is a lot more complicated than that. Oil prices are about world supply/availability and demand. Any major disruption to either component anywhere in the world is likely to move oil prices one way or the other in spite of any independence the USA might have. | |
