It would if you made the attachment heavy enough. I have friends who have made miles of fence by pushing posts into the ground with a loader, however skid loaders especially are light in the front end so they don't have a lot of downward force by themselves. My friends basically made an attachment that clamped to the bucket with a length of pipe to hold the post, and it worked well, but sometimes they had to put a hay bale in the bucket or fill the bucket with dirt or something to get enough downward pressure.
Other advice, connect a length of chain to the bucket as well so that when it touches the ground, the post is set to the proper depth. Hand signals from a helper work for a few posts, but if driving in a lot, it will make it go much faster because the loader operator can see for himself how much farther to go with no middleman. It also frees up the helper to grab the next post and get it in position.
