I contacted our IT guy last night and he put Cloudflare in defensive mode for the duration. This is why you are seeing the verification step. The attack continues but Cloudflare is blocking the vast majority of it. On a typical evening, we will serve about 100 page requests per second. The DDoS was not huge, but the additional volume was enough to stall the system. Not a bad pressure test, really, since we will be shopping for new hardware soon.
