red river valley se of fargo | I'm looking at getting away from a field cultivator on some of my lighter soils in the spring. Mostly working soy stubble ahead of planting corn. I have a Salford 4100 for corn residue management in the fall but it's too expensive, heavy, and narrow for these spring acres. I see supercoulters selling fairly reasonable. Would these be decent for seedbed prep on sandy loam soils? Hp/ft requirements? Similar power requirements to a field cultivator or significantly more? Please don't suggest notill, I didn't ask about that, respectfully.
