Same. I remember lots of tapping on the shaft or bearing with a small hammer while trying to not break the windshield. We did it to our 8120 and 8420 but I don't remember the process. Exhaust elbow has to come off.
When you reinstall the little fan, it needs to be more or less true to the shaft or it will squeal intermittently.
