Southwest Illinois
IMO 10hp per foot should be the minimum, especially if you want to pull it at speed. Also will depend on terrain and soils as well as attachments. We have a 40 foot Tigermate 255, our 470 quad works well with it but 8 to 8.5 mph hour is tops. In rolling round its a bit less. It's amazing how much better field cultivators work when in the 8 to 9mph range compared to 7mph. Also it seems like resale on the 50 footers is not good. Local dealers have quite a few sitting on their lots that will need a paint job because they have set so long.
