| Yes, but does not matter how much milk in the udder or how good it is if the calf cannot get it out, I had a cow I bought that raised nice calves for the old owner , raised one nice one for me then one not so nice, tried milking her by hand and could hardly get any out. If the calf has to work so hard they get sore jaw muscles they quit before they should, thus a small; poor doing calf. Just saying it may not be quantity or quality, just could be that the calf cannot get it out. | |
