| To keep the bacteria at bay, you may want to set it up so that it gets a good heat cycle year round. Depending how deep down the rabbit hole you want to go, you can start simple and have a timer click on a few hours a day. Or you can go full out and automate it based on solar production and power usage and only kick on when there is an excess.
This year marks my 8th summer of having solar. Like all things in life, what started as an excess quickly turned into a new normal. Now I wish I had space for twice the system size! | |
