If she's almost Seven, have her do something to "earn" her cash. Doesn't have to be anything big, but she needs to learn some "reward" system aside from "I want,,Gimmie"..

Yes it you are in a mentoring program,(and so is she)  but she needs to learn and obviously she's not learning anything at "home". 

I am continually astounded people think they are parents simply because they can reproduce.. Real parents realize and understand parenting just starts with reproduction, teaching their children things like values,, is NOT up to the education system.
