If the funeral is in the morning we serve cake, sandwiches and salads. If the funeral is in the afternoon we serve salads and cake. The family pays for the buns, lunch meat and cheese. Friends and church members bring the salads and cake. We serve water and coffee to drink.
We make the sandwiches at the church. It goes really fast with a group of ladies. Some churches in our area have gone to cupcakes and that makes it easier as well.
