| Thanks, 99guy.
I'm not a farmer but like the saying goes, you can take the man out of the country, but you can't take the country out of him!!
Anyway, I grew up on a nice family farm in Ireland which my older brother still runs, emigrated west and work for a major North American airline as a Technical Auditor. Was a mechanic for 10 yrs; turning wrenches on the big Boeings, an Inspector for another 10 and now am buried in the paperwork end of things. It's great having the world at one's fingertips, being able to travel and see how others live.
So that's my story briefly.
Several years ago I took vacation time from my job and went custom wheat harvesting with a cutter who had a dozen JD9600s.
That was one great experience.
This is a great ag forum with interesting folk here from all over the planet and I have learned a lot from lurking and will always continue to be a student. | |
