Eastern Nebraska
I made this recipe this afternoon. Our litte town grocery did not have the cherries and I did not want to drive 40 miles to get some. I used Welch's dried fruit bits.... pineapple, cranberries, appples, golden raisins... came out good and the first loaf is gone. A couple of questions... do you cut up the oranges? How do you keep the corners form getting so brown while you are waiting for the middle to get done? I cooked at 325... It is very good and very moist bread... Thank you....
