Southern Louisiana | Should we add the GS2 (color touchscreen display) or the old monochrome display? I have heard very mixed reviews on the newer 2100 series displays. A JD AMS rep said they are still recommending two displays for spraying, one to control Spraystar and one for parallel tracking. We hate to invest in a $5,000 GS2 display when a $1400 display would also do. We are not looking for spray mapping at this time. I guess the other reason for not going to the newer GS2 display is that we want to move the display to the combine running the VERY old original silver wedge box JD yield monitor/mapping for harvest doc. The operator is very used to this display and would hate to purchase an "overkill" with a higher learning curve. The orginal display on the combine has suffered from the vertical "lines of death" that will warrant a new display.
