East Central Arkansas | I went to the garden to cut probably my last cutting of broccoli for the year. It was mostly just the little shoots you have after cutting the big main head and a few smaller heads from some later maturing plants. Most of these shoots had a lot of tender good looking leaves on them so I brought leave and all to the house and Karen picked the leaves off and cooked them like any other green. I didn't realize I have been letting such a good part of the broccoli plant go to waste. The cold weather the end of this week and next will probably be the end of the garden. | |
