Duane L. Peuster, 62, of Palmyra, Missouri, died at 5:15 P. M. Monday from injuries while logging on his farm . Duane was born March 29, 1947 in Hannibal, Missouri to Philip J. F. and Laura Elizabeth Bock Peuster. Duane married Evelyn M. Schwanke October 29, 1972 in Rensselaer, Mo.. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, children, Laura ( Mark) Dodd of Philadelphia, Mo.; Ellen ( Jeremy) Warning of Palmyra; Eric ( Michelle) Peuster of Palmyra; William ( Chesney) Peuster of Hannibal; grandchildren; Phillip and Ethan Dodd, Kaylee Warning, Trey and Lexie Peuster, and sister, Phyllis Peuster of Palmyra. He was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles. Duane owned and operated Duane's Garage from 1959 until 1994. He also was a lifelong farmer and cattleman, and did custom baling in the area. He loved spending time with his grandkids and loved his dog. Duane was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Palmyra. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A. M. Friday at Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra. Rev. David Johnson and Pastor Lance Bonnell will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Palmyra, Missouri. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 P. M. Thursday at Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Duane L. Peuster Memorial Fund. | |
