WCIN | I got it when I was a kid--bad. Then desided, when I was 13, to clear a mulberry grove with poison ivy in it. Had long sleeve shirt, gloves and a hat, did just fine. The next weekend I dressup again and burned approx 6 pickup loads worth in a 8'x8' fire spot. Eyes were swelled 95% shut, mouth had blisters in it, lips glued themselves together, throat swelled, and breathing was uncomfortable. Lasted about 5 miserable days. Have never had it since.
If I had to do it over, I'd eat a salad of poison ivy first. I burn the wood, but pull off all the vines. No problems with anyone here. | |
