Greene County, Illinois | Neighborhood gets together one Saturday night a month for potluck supper and a little gossip. Coming up the last of February, nine neighbors have each built a putt-putt golf hole in garage or machine shed and we have a tournament. No prizes, everybody just comes for the fun. We charge $80/team and give all the money to charity. Last year we had 74 teams. Last year we raised the entry fee from $60/team to $80/team to try to cut back the teams, but we had more than the year before and have more teams wanting to play. We also sell T-shirts and have some side games. We raise a lot of money for charity in a short afternoon and have a lot of fun with it. | |
