Actually, the picture added to profile isn't all that great a deal because in order to see it, you must click the user's profile and then click another link there in order to display the picture. If you upload a mapdot (AKA avatar) that pic will show up whenever anyone reads your post. Size of both pics in your profile and mapdots has been limited to 6K for uploaded images.

Don't let this confuse you with uploaded pictures, those are a different deal and they are allowed to be slightly larger than 100K.
