North West IA/western AZ | Just so you know that genetic engineering is not the same as hybridization. The later happens all the time in nature. If it turns out that the genetic engineered plants are bad for us, I think we are screwed on the open pollinated plants like corn. That pollen easily travels 1/4 to 1/2 mile. I resisted RR corn as long as I could, but still had corn plants in my beans that was roundup reasistant. Maybe you are far enough away from neighbors to keep pure seed, but not me. | |
