| There are cables available to convert either the Starfire or the Starfire 2 signal to a 9 pin connection that can be used with the iPAQ or laptop. The question to ask yourself is what do you want to do with the equipment in the future. The hand held with Site Mate software is convenient and can be used in the future with other antennas for crop scouting and soil sampling or mapping out wet holes etc., in a vehicle or on foot, plus give you your coverage maps now. iPAQ screens are about 2.25"wide by 3" long generally, is that large enough you will be happy? As with other programs Farm Works enables you to zoom in to take a closer look at the coverage area.
Sorry I don't know much about the Deere system.
