I don't know any of your circumstances so let me ask.  Have you checked with any of the "scooter stores" (I'm using the term generically.  I know that is actually a business name.)?  I've been told almost anyone who needs a chair can qualify for some assistance in getting one.

Probably that is a broad generalization, but I paid enough in taxes the last couple years to buy her several, so why not get it if you can?

I hate to mention it because someone always does, but have you tried searching Craig's List?  I did a quick search ... just pulled a city name off the list for an example ... and got 13 hits for wheelchair.  Here are a few
