I'm new here and I don't know where your at but solar wouldn't be cost effective, you could easily sink a few hundred thousand into that system, plus the maintenance issues of the battery banks = about thirty to thirty-five thousand every five to six years.

Unless you have some falling or running water where a micro hydro-turbine could be used
